RTCY-M Series Closed Circuit Cooling Towers with Radial Fans
  • The fluid to be cooled enters the Freva RTCY-M series cooling tower through the upper collector of the heat exchangers via pumps and circulates inside the exchanger tubes. Water is sprayed onto the heat exchangers from the water distribution system. This transfers the heat from the fluid circulating inside the tubes to the water. At the same time, fresh air is drawn in by radial fans. The air flows upward, counter to the direction of the water flow.
  • The air drawn into the cooling tower by the fans moves upward along the heat exchanger and is discharged into the atmosphere from the top of the tower.
  • A small portion of the water sprayed onto the coils evaporates during this process, thereby dissipating the unwanted heat. The cooled fluid is returned to the system from the collector located at the bottom of the heat exchanger.
